MOZENA, Edna. (Dubuque, IA, Apr. 27. 1921--Dubuque, IA, Mar. 28, 2017). The daughter of William and Charlotte (Jecklin) Gottschalk, Edna graduated from DUBUQUE SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL in the class of 1938. On October 9, 1940, she married Kenneth E. MOZENA in Dubuque. During WORLD WAR II, she worked at the FARLEY AND LOETSCHER MANUFACTURING COMPANY.

After marriage, Edna was a farmer, a partner in the TRI-STATE AUCTION AND REALTY SERVICE INC., and a faithful employee at GENTRY (THE). Edna was an honoree in Albrecht Acres’ Hall of Fame, Circle One of the Martha Society of IMMANUEL UNITED CONGREGATIONAL CHURCH, Secretary of Dubuque County Women’s Food Service, Vice-President of Sherrill Methodist Women’s Society, member of the Christian Women's Group, and “star” in her beloved bowling team, Brunch Bunch. Among her children were Dr. Darryl Mozena, a frequent contributor to this encyclopedia, and Ambassador MOZENA, Dan.
