Krantz, Florene. (Marengo, IA, Mar. 17, 1900--Dubuque, IA, Dec. 13, 1996). After retiring in 1965, Krantz lived until 1988 in Florida where she was a volunteer at the Highlands General Hospital for fifteen years and a member of the board of directors of the Highland Community Concert Association. In 1984 when it was learned that she was returning to Dubuque for a visit, a "Welcome Home Florene Krantz" announcement was placed in the Telegraph Herald. In 1985 a similar announcement of her birthday appeared.
