HOERMANN, Charles S. (Dubuque, IA, Feb. 21, 1877-Dubuque, IA, Sept., 1943). Owner,  Hoermann Press. In 1905 Hoermann established the Hoermann Press in Dubuque. He also served as vice-president and director of the Federal Discount Corporation when it was organized in 1921.

HOERMANN]], Charles was educated in the schools of Helena, Montana and was a students of the Helena Business College. He returned to Dubuque and worked for the [[PALMER, WINALL & CO.]] for five years before serving in the Spanish-American War.  


Hoermann's associations included his role as director of the Federal Bank and Trust Company, chairman for eighteen years of the Dubuque Good Government League, member of the board of directors of the [[DUBUQUE BOYS' CLUB]], past president of the Chamber of Commerce (1928), and vice chairman of the Dubuque Chapter of the American Red Cross and chairman of its disaster committee.
Following his return to Dubuque, Hoermann was a partner in the [[ENTERPRISE PRINTING COMPANY]] of Dubuque for two and one-half years. In 1905 Hoermann established the Hoermann Press in Dubuque and operated from the [[BANK AND INSURANCE BUILDING]]. The company was moved to 8th and Locust [[STREETS]] until 1926 when it was relocated to 346 8th Avenue.

HOERMANN, Charles S. (Dubuque, IA, Feb. 21, 1877-Dubuque, IA, Sept., 1943). Owner, HOERMANN PRESS (THE). The son of Eugene H. HOERMANN, Charles was educated in the schools of Helena, Montana and was a students of the Helena Business College.
