BELL, Max B. (Dubuque, IA--Miami, FL, December 21, 1962) Max was educated in Dubuque public school and then attended the University of Wisconsin where he received his bachelor's degree in 1918. He was a certified public accountant in Wisconsin.

Bell returned to Dubuque where he entered business with his brothers in BELSKY MOTOR COMPANY, a distributor of Buick and Cadillac automobiles and a retail outlet for Goodyear Rubber Company. In 1925 the three brothers formed the INTERSTATE FINANCE CORPORATION. Max Bell succeeded his brother as chairman of the board.

Active in the community, Bell served as president of the Dubuque Community Chest and the Rotary Club (1932-1933). He headed the American Red Cross campaigns in the early years of WORLD WAR II.
