MARTIN LUTHER HOME FOR THE AGED. On February 13, 1950 the National Lutheran Council churches of Dubuque began a fundraising drive to raise money to establish a Martin Luther Home for the Aged in Dubuque. Canvassers would attempt to reach the more than 1,900 members. represented by the council. Participating congregations included HOLY TRINITY LUTHERAN CHURCH, ST. MARK LUTHERAN CHURCH, ST. MATTHEW LUTHERAN CHURCH, and ST. PETER'S EVANGELICAL LUTHERAN CHURCH. (1)
The first report was made on February 23, 1958 with donations totaling $14,919 towards a goal of $65,000.
