ST. MATTHEW LUTHERAN CHURCH. Founded in 1907, St. Matthew German Evangelical Lutheran was a "daughter church" of ST. JOHN'S LUTHERAN CHURCH. (1) In 1907 the church was able to purchase a pipe organ after the young people of the church raised $1,000 and a matching gift was received from famed philanthropist, Andrew Carnegie. (20
