DUBUQUE BIER COMPANY. In August, 2016 the Dubuque Bier Company began selling its locally-made Pilsner-style beer, Düber. Owned and operated by Gabriel Mozena, a University of Iowa student and his father Terry MOZENA, chief loan officer at PREMIER BANK, the company expanded its clientele by 2017 to include fifty establishments and fifty vendors in the area.

The beer was brewed at Potosi Brewing and distributed by Matthews Distributing. "Bier," the German spelling of beer, was chosen for the name of the company to reflect the strong German heritage of the area. Financially secure, the company in 2017 was considering expansion in the future, funding local charity events and involvement in more civic activities.
