MOCO MERCER AWARDS. The Moco Mercer Awards, named in honor of Kenneth E. MERCER, was an annual presentation made by the Dubuque JAYCEES. The first awards, made in 1971, were presented to Tom Danner, state wrestling champion from WAHLERT CATHOLIC HIGH SCHOOL; Dan McClimon, LORAS COLLEGE track coach and coach of the year in 1970; and Gerald "Red" MCALEECE.
