WISSEL, Cyril. (Dubuque, IA-Dubuque, IA, June 20, 1976). Cyril Wissel was the son of Fred G. WISSEL. On September 26, 1927, Cyril Wissel co-founded, with Urban J. HAAS, H & W MOTOR EXPRESS. Wissel was also president of DUBUQUE STORAGE & TRANSFER COMPANY.
Wissel held board of director membership at AMERICAN TRUST AND SAVINGS BANK, Motor Carriers Employers Conference-Central States for which he was also the secretary-treasurer, and the Middlewest Motor Freight Bureau. Locally Wissel served on the boards of trustees for the DUBUQUE AREA CHAMBER OF COMMERCE and CLARKE COLLEGE. Socially he was a member of the 660 Club of the DUBUQUE SHOOTING SOCIETY.
