PALMER, W. A. (Genesee Co., NY, Dec. 18, 1836-- ). Firm of Palmer, Winall & Co., blank-book manufacturers, printer and book binders located at the corner Sixth and Iowa [[STREETS]]. Palmer moved to Galena, Illinois in 1857 and remained there until 1860.

He moved to Dubuque and began his business, and in 1864 the firm of Palmer, Winall & Co. was organized. In 1879, they erected a large brick building on the corner of Sixth and Iowa streets to meet the demands of their trade.
