TREDWAY, Harry Ennis. (Dubuque, IA, June 30, 1861--Florissant, MO, Nov. 12,1944). Tredway began business in association with his father, Alfred TREDWAY, and his brothers in the firm of A. TREDWAY AND SONS. For eleven years he was a traveling salesman for the firm and upon its reorganization and incorporation in 1889 Harry was elected secretary. He became president of the company in 1902.

Tredway also served as vice-president of the METZ MANUFACTURING COMPANY and president of the Dubuque Shippers' Association. Active in the community, Tredway was member of the board of education and served as its president. He was a charter member and president of the DUBUQUE COMMERCIAL CLUB. He was also a charter member and president of the DUBUQUE GOLF AND COUNTRY CLUB. In 1911 he was president of the JOHN ERNSDORFF IRON COMPANY.
