NICHOLAS GLAB HOUSE. Located across the street and south of the GLAB, Alois--3087 Central home, this residence at the corner of 30th and (Couler) Central Avenue was the home of Nicholas GLAB. Construction of the house began in 1890 with the cost estimated to be $6,000 exclusive of the land. (1)
Nicholas Glab, one of the major brewers in Dubuque, made the DUBUQUE BREWING AND MALTING COMPANY, seen in the background, one of the major brewing companies in the United States.
