MEE HONG LO AND COMPANY. This Chinese restaurant was opened by C. R. Dibble and appeared in 1905 newspaper advertisements as Dibble's Chop Sooy Restaurant, C. R. Dibble Chinese Restaurant, or C. R. Dibble's Chinese Chop Sooy Restaurant. It was listed at 630 Main in 1905 and 636 Main in 1906. (1)
In 1908 the restaurant at 636 Main was purchased by Mee Hong Lo when C. R. Dibble moved to California. (2)
The 1911-12 Dubuque City Directory listed 636 Main.
It appeared at the same address in the International Chinese Business Directory of the World in 1913 as Mee Hong Lo and Company. (3) The full name of the above source is:

The restaurant closed on March 12, 1912. Located above the LOG CABIN SALOON, the owners for the previous five years were relocating to Waterloo to open a similar restaurant. Their cook, Bertha L. Sing, moved to New Orleans. (4)
