KRETSCHMER, Fred L. (Dubuque, IA, Nov. 22, 1927--Colorado Spring, CO, Jan. 5, 2000). Kretschmer was a graduate of LORAS ACADEMY in 1945 and attended LORAS COLLEGE. He served in WORLD WAR II and was on the staff of the Adjutant General Department in the occupation of Japan.

Kretschmer was a past president of KRETSCHMER-TREDWAY COMPANY, manager of the Dubuque Street Products Company, and former president of the Dubuque Traffic Association. He was a member of the board of directors of Solidarity Corp. in Pittsford, New York.

He served on the Loras College Advisory Board and the Clarke College Development Council.
