HURD-MOST SASH & DOOR COMPANY. Founded in 1921, the company was located according to the 1929 Dubuque City Directory at Harrison & Dodge St. It specialized in rush orders of frames, cabinets, and mouldings. (1)
Officers of the company included E. A. Hurd, president; J. W. Most, vice-president; and George H. Most, secretary and treasurer. (2) In 1968 located at the same site, the company manufactured frames, windows, doors, cabinets and mouldings.
The 1970 Dubuque City Directory listed Dodge Street. At that time, the company employed thirty-one people. (3)
