HOLY TRINITY LANES
HOLY TRINITY LANES. This bowling alley operated in HOLY TRINITY CATHOLIC CHURCH was the scene of Dubuque Bowling Association tournaments as early as 1950. (1) The alley may have provided inspiration to Ron Fuerst, member of the Dubuque Bowling Association Hall of Fame, whose father managed the operation when Ron was eight years old. (2) Another illustrious alumnus of the alley was Jerry WIEDERHOLT who set pins at the age of twelve for Gerald G. PREGLER at the alley. (3) Dave Feltes, also a member of the DUBUQUE BOWLING ASSOCIATION HALL OF FAME had the same job at Holy Trinity when he was fifteen. (4) Jerry McGrath, Hall of Fame recipient, worked there too as a youth. (5)
The alley was still open in 1972.
