HElM, Leona. (Dubuque, IA--Dubuque, IA, Feb. 19, 1982). Heim, retired music supervisor for the DUBUQUE COMMUNITY SCHOOL DISTRICT, served as the choir director of the Mary's Day Mass at ST. RAPHAEL'S CATHEDRAL for thirty-eight years. She also served as the organist and choir director of NATIVITY CHURCH for forty-five years in addition to teaching at LORAS COLLEGE.

Heim was president of the Caroline Graves Honor Society of the Dubuque Teachers Association and was a former governor of the Iowa Chapter of the International Federation of Catholic Alumnae. She served two terms as president of the Dubuque Federated Women's Club and was choral director of the Sherman Circle and the Catholic Daughters of America.
