HAPPY'S PLACE. Constructed in 1951 and called Bell Dew Inn, the business was sold in 1956 to Doris and Freeman Hancock and renamed Happy's because "Happy" was Freeman's nickname.

They operated the bar until 1962 when it was sold to their son and his wife, Jack and Gayle. The business was sold again in 1988 to Freeman's nephew and wife, Mark and Pauline.
