GROCERS' BAKING COMPANY
GROCERS' BAKING COMPANY. Incorporated in 1925, the company operated a bakery in a building on Main Street formerly occupied by the M. J. MULGREW BAKING COMPANY. Officers included J. J. Burke, president; George Bendel, vice-president; and Harry McIntosh, secretary/treasurer. Initially the company's output was limited to bread and rolls. Other items were to be added later. The company was involved in both wholesale and retail. (1)
By 1927 the company was purchased by the DUBUQUE BREAD COMPANY. (2)
