DUBUQUE INVESTMENT CO. The Dubuque Investment Company was incorporated on August 10, 1892 to buy, mortgage and sell real estate. Directors included Mathias M. HOFFMANN, Sr., Frederick N. KRETSCHMER, John Flynn, H. J. Fuchs, Nicholas J. Class, R. H. Thompson, and James T. Martin. M. M. Hoffman was the president.
It was announced that the company had purchased Linehan Park Addition, fifty acres with half within the city limits. At the time, it was reported that the sale might have been the largest of unimproved property in the history of the city. (1) After some preliminary work, the land would be placed on the market. (2)
The 1913 Dubuque and Dubuque County Directory stated that this company was located at 1497 Clay.
