BOSTON MARKET. A restaurant that referred to its food selections as "home-style meals," Boston Market opened its first restaurant in Newton, Massachusetts in 1985. Expanding nationwide quickly with between 250 and 300 stores opening annually, the chain offered roast turkey and a variety of side dishes. A branch of the store opened at 3300 Hillcrest Road in 1995.

Suffering from "substandard" profits, the store was closed in August, 1997.
