BLINKS, Edwin D. (Marion, IA, Mar. 20, 1934-- ). A graduate of the State University of Iowa, Blinks taught history at DUBUQUE SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL (1957-1965) and later served as a district administrator (1965-1992) in charge of finances. (1) He was the husband of Barbara BLINKS

Active in the community, Blinks was elected treasurer of the Dubuque County Advisory Board of the River Valley Community Action Program (CAP). (2) He was a board member of the American Cancer Society and president of the Downtown Kiwanis Club (1982-1983). In 2003 the Kiwanis Club honored him for 27 years of membership. (3) Active in the Masonic Lodge, Blinks served as the Grand Master, Grand Lodge of Iowa, AF. and A.M. (1992-1993) and Lt. Governor-Eastern Iowa-Illinois District (1996-1997). He was the chairman of the Trustees of the Grand Lodge of Iowa and the Iowa Masonic Scholarship Endowment Fund (1982 and 1991).

Blinks received the DeMolay Legion of Honor (1983) and was the Distinguished President of the Kiwanis (1982-1983).
