BICKEL, Kenneth. (Lancaster, PA, Dec. 28, 1952-- ). Beginning in 1990, Bickel served as the senior minister of FIRST CONGREGATIONAL UNITED CHURCH OF CHRIST. His sermon entitled "Forgive Mankind's Atrocities" delivered on the Jewish/Christian Dialogue Sunday, October 27, 1991, was included in the Congressional Record on November 13, 1991 and in the Representative American Speeches 1991-1992. He received the Doctor of Ministry Degree from Lancaster Theological Seminary on May 15, 1993.

The convenor of the Dubuque Area Ministerium (1993-1995), Bickel served as Adjunct Professor Ministry at the UNIVERSITY OF DUBUQUE beginning in 1991. He was the president of the Key City Rotary Club (1996-1997), a member of the Dubuque Community Schools Community Council (1992-1994), and member of the Holocaust Remembrance Days Organizing Committee (1997).
