ALBERT JAEGGI HOME. Located at 363 West Locust, this Classical Revival building was constructed in 1902. It is especially noted for its brick frieze, quoins, and bowfront bays. After serving in the Spanish-American War, its owner, Albert M. JAEGGI opened a rug and drapery business. This was a forerunner of the STAMPFER'S DEPARTMENT STORE in which he served as secretary-treasurer.
