PERKINS CAKE AND STEAK
PERKINS CAKE AND STEAK. The Perkins chain was established in 1958, when Matt and Ivan Perkins opened Perkins Pancake House in Cincinnati, Ohio. Throughout the "Sixties," the chain expanded as a franchise. (1)
The 1980 through 2013 Dubuque City Directory listed 3500 Dodge. In 1985 or 1986 the name became Perkins.
In March 2016 the Perkins at 3500 Dodge closed, but announced plans to relocate. This was accomplished in January 2017 when the new store opened at 2875 Plaza Drive. (2)
