Manna Java World Cafe

CAFE MANNA JAVA. Michelle and Georgia Mihalakis opened Cafe Manna Java at 269 Main Street in 2002 as a coffee shop/bakery. The business began serving fresh artisan roasted coffees and European style pastries made from scratch. A line of artisan breads made daily was then introduced.

In 2004 the business began offering gourmet pizza, sandwiches and salads. Michelle left the partnership at this time to continue her community projects.

Cafe Manna Java West was opened in February 2009 at 150 John F. Kennedy Road. The menu was expanded and included the first organic hamburger in Dubuque.

On September 1, 2010 the original downtown location was closed as the business, renamed Manna Java World Cafe, moved into the lobby of the renovated ROSHEK'S DEPARTMENT STORE. Manna Java West closed in 2011. Manna Java World Cafe closed in July, 2017.
