GLEED'S BREWERY. Gleed's Brewery was a successor of the DUBUQUE JOINT STOCK BREWING COMPANY (THE) along South Locust in Dubuque. It was operated by Ambrose Gleed from 1872 when he leased the entire operation until 1876 when it was forced to close. In 1878 the brewery and equipment was purchased by John PIER.
