PALMER, W.A.
PALMER, W. A. (Genesee Co., NY, Dec. 18, 1836-- ). Firm of Palmer, Winall & Co., blank-book manufacturers, printer and book binders located at the corner Sixth and Iowa STREETS. Palmer moved to Galena, Illinois in 1857 and remained there until 1860.
He moved to Dubuque and began his business, and in 1864 the firm of Palmer, Winall & Co. was organized. In 1879, they erected a large brick building on the corner of Sixth and Iowa streets to meet the demands of their trade.
