FLICK-ZIEPPRECHT BOX FACTORY
FLICK-ZIEPPRECHT BOX FACTORY. The Flick Box Company was established in February, 1900 and operated until March 20, 1911 when a reorganization was carried out and the Flick-Ziepprecht Box Factory was founded. The company was located at the foot of 7th Street. The company in 1911 employed seventy-five people and shipped from two hundred to two hundred fifty railroad cars of boxes annually with a value of $85,000.
The company's wooden boxes included crates of all kinds, beer and soda cases, poultry coops, cigar boxes, cigar box labels, and cigar makers' supplies. Business centered in Iowa, Minnesota, the Dakotas, Nebraska, Illinois, and Wisconsin.
