ARTESIAN BOTTLING COMPANY. In 1989 Artesian was one of three independent bottling companies remaining in Iowa. Artesian Bottling Company, like other independents, sold soft drinks in clear ten-ounce bottles. The flavor of the drink was printed on the bottle cap. The company was founded in 1900 and located in 1968 at 901 Liberty Street.
