PFAFF, Marian. (Alta, IA- ). Dubuque County Republican Central Committee Chairperson. Pfaff, also co-chairperson of the Republican Second District Central Committee, stepped down as chairperson of the Dubuque County Republican Central Committee in 1978.

First interested in politics after moving to Dubuque in 1951, Pfaff ran a successful campaign to win election to the school board of the DUBUQUE COMMUNITY SCHOOL DISTRICT. She held membership on the board for ten years, serving twice as its president. In 1976 Pfaff ran unsuccessfully against Ronert CARR for the 10th Senate District seat. She was an active supporter of Project Concern.
