HOERMANN, Charles S. (Dubuque, IA, Feb. 21, 1877-Dubuque, IA, Sept., 1943). Owner, Hoermann Press. In 1905 Hoermann established the Hoermann Press in Dubuque. He also served as vice-president and director of the Federal Discount Corporation when it was organized in 1921.

Hoermann's associations included his role as director of the Federal Bank and Trust Company, chairman for eighteen years of the Dubuque Good Government League, member of the board of directors of the DUBUQUE BOYS' CLUB, past president of the Chamber of Commerce (1928), and vice chairman of the Dubuque Chapter of the American Red Cross and chairman of its disaster committee.
