LINK, Alphonse M. (Balltown, IA, Oct. 18, 1900--Dubuque, IA, Dec. 14, 1962). From 1952 through 1956, Link served as the Democratic county chairman replacing Michael P. HOGAN, Jr. who held the position for five years.

In 1956, Link was elected State Deputy of the KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS and was re-elected to the position in 1957.

Advertising manager for the Baxter Manufacturing Company and the operator of a private advertising and publicity service, Link also worked many years as feature editor for the TELEGRAPH HERALD and served as the acting postmaster in Dubuque.
