HARTIG, Richard. (Dubuque, IA, Dec. 2, 1949- ). Owner, president and chief executive officer of HARTIG DRUG COMPANY. Hartig credits his success in business to his insistence on service to the customer. His business, bought from the family estate in 1984, has five Dubuque stores with a store in Galena and another in Dyersville.
Considered by associates as an eager participant in committee work, Hartig has been a member of the FOUR MOUNDS Task Force, chairperson of the CLARKE COLLEGE Board of Trustees, and vice chairperson of the Dubuque Planning and Zoning Commission.
