MITCHELL, C. W. (Racine County, WI, Dec. 2, 1842-- ). Receiving his education in Green Co., Wisconsin, Mitchell entered the mercantile business in 1874. He was associated with H. H. SATER in manufacturing the "Norwegian Plow ", at Brodhead, Wisconsin until 1879.

In 1879 the NORWEGIAN PLOW COMPANY was organized and the business moved to Dubuque. Mitchell was elected vice president of the company. He 1885 he was secretary, treasurer and general manager. (1)
