STEINHAUSER, Cindy. (Dubuque, IA-- ). Assistant City Manager. Steinhauser graduated from LORAS COLLEGE with degrees in finance and economics. She also received certifications in Downtown Redevelopment and Community Initiated Development from the National Trust for Historic Preservation.
Steinhauser began working for the city of Dubuque in January 1995 and began serving as the assistant city manager in May 2001. Prior to this she was Parking System Supervisor and the Neighborhood Development Specialist for the City. She also worked in downtown development for the cities of Dubuque, Iowa and Clinton, Iowa.
In 2008 Steinhauser served on the Board of Directors for DUBUQUE MAIN STREET, LTD. and the Dubuque Area Convention and Visitors Bureau. She was a member of the Iowa League of Cities and the National League of Cities and served on their awards committee. She was a member of the Iowa City/County Management Association and served as the NE Iowa City Managers committee coordinator. She was a member of the Summer Conference program committee and the Iowa Municipal Managers Institute (IMMI) program committee.
