VAN VLIET, Adrian. (Holland, Mar. 28, 1809-Dubuque, IA, May 9, 1871). Reverend. Van Vliet, pastor of the German First Presbyterian Church, founded a theological seminary in connection with his church that developed into the UNIVERSITY OF DUBUQUE.
