ANDERFINGER, Martin B. (Oswego, NY, July 1, 1871-- ).
MAYOR. Beginning in 1920 licorice was manufactured in Dubuque by the LICORICE PRODUCTS COMPANY founded by Martin B. Andelfinger of Brooklyn, New York.
Andelfinger was elected the State Commander of the Veterans of the Spanish-American War in 1929. He served as the mayor of Dubuque the same year. In 1932 he was a congressional candidate for the Second District in the Republican primaries.
