The 1859-1860 Dubuque City Directory listed the corner of 8th and Main.
The 1865 through 1870-1871 Dubuque City Directory gave the address of this business as the north side of 7th between Main and Iowa. In 1865 it was listed as a restaurant.
The 1875-1876 Dubuque City Directory gave as the address for this business--243 7th.
The 1878-79 and 1880 Dubuque City Directory stated that this business including a billiards room was to be found at 229-243 7th.
