THALHAMER, Gerald L. "Jerry" (Dubuque, IA, Jan. 18, 1946--Dubuque, IA, Apr. 21, 2022). The son of Willis G. and Doris V. (Keller) Thalhamer, Jerry was raised in Dubuque and attended MARSHALL ELEMENTARY SCHOOL, JEFFERSON JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL and DUBUQUE SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL with the Class of 1964.
He attended Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa where he majored in physical education and graduated receiving his teaching degree in 1969. While at Iowa State he played baseball for the Cyclones for four years under the legendary “Cap” Timm.
