LEE, P. J. (County Kerry, Ireland, 1848--Dubuque, IA, Feb. 22, 1919) Coming to the United States as a child, Lee entered the banking business early in his adolescence and became prominent in the community. In 1890 he served as the cashier of the [[GERMAN BANK]] but by 1894 he had become president of [[CITIZENS' STATE BANK (THE)]], a position he held the rest of his life. (1) Lee was also the president of the [[DUBUQUE CLEARING HOUSE ASSOCIATION]]. (2)

In 1890 he served as the cashier of the GERMAN BANK but by 1894 he had become president of CITIZENS' STATE BANK (THE), a position he held the rest of his life. (1) Lee was also the president of the DUBUQUE CLEARING HOUSE ASSOCIATION. (2)
