LEE, P. J. (County Kerry, Ireland, 1848--Dubuque, IA, Feb. 22, 1919) Coming to the United States as a child, Lee entered the banking business early in his adolescence and became prominent in the community.

In 1890 he served as the cashier of the GERMAN BANK but by 1894 he had become president of CITIZENS' STATE BANK (THE), a position he held the rest of his life. (1) Lee was also the president of the DUBUQUE CLEARING HOUSE ASSOCIATION. (2)
