Armington, Cox established his partnership with Dorrance Dixon MYERS in 1870 to form one of Dubuque's most successful tobacco manufacturing companies, MYERS, TICE & CO. (2) He remained with the company until 1924 when it was sold to the American Tobacco Company. (3) Cox also served as a director of the HIGH BRIDGE Company.
