KLAUER, Herbert J. (Dubuque, IA, Dec. 30, 1916--Dubuque, IA, July 1, 1993). The son of William N. and Emma Klauer, Herbert graduated from DUBUQUE SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL in 1935 and was a Golden Glove Champion in Iowa. During WORLD WAR II he worked for the Army Corps of Engineers and was involved in organizing the first Civil Defense Unit in Dubuque. He was a lifelong painter in the city.

The 1966 and 1968 Dubuque City Directory listed 2370 Green.
