RIEKENA, Doris M. (Zwingle, IA, Feb. 10, 1922--Dubuque, IA, Apr. 6, 2014) The daughter of Ross and Lelia Simpson, Doris married Ben Riekena. He preceded her in death on March 31, 1953.
She then attended the UNIVERSITY OF DUBUQUE where she received her Associates Degree in Education and taught in the Epworth and Farley school districts for several years.
She was awarded the Greyhound Ticket Agency in 1959 and for the next 30 years she was the owner operator of the UNION BUS DEPOT in Dubuque. She was a charter member of the Dubuque Transit Board.
