EULBERG, Peter. (Nassau, Germany, Oct. 15, 1845--Portage, WI, Dec. 4, 1895). Eulberg and his parents came to America in 1854. He moved to Dubuque in 1871.
In January, 1877, he became a partner with William Meuser in the brewing business. The MEUSER BEER COMPANY was located along Couler Avenue. (1) For many years, he was the foreman of the WESTERN BREWERY and later joined Meuser in the SCHMID BREWERY. He moved to Portage to establish his own brewery. (2) Politically, he served the Fourth Ward in 1882 on the Committee to Get Voters. (3)
