BURCH, James Merrill. (Necedah, WI, Jan. 18, 1861--Dubuque, IA, June 30, 1927). Burch, the son of [[BURCH, George Benjamin|George Benjamin BURCH]], graduated from Harvard University in 1883 and returned to Necedah where he served a term as mayor in 1899. (1) He became credit manager of [[FARLEY AND LOETSCHER MANUFACTURING COMPANY]] in 1900 and was later promoted to treasurer and then president. He held this office the remainder of his life.
