MIDWEST LUMBER COMPANY. Successor to the PYRAMID LUMBER COMPANY. Established in 1923, the Midwest Lumber Company had its headquarters in Dubuque with thirty-two branches in Iowa, Illinois, and Minnesota.

With two supply yards located on lower Seventh Street, the company occupied a square city block. Incorporated with $1,800,000, the company was managed by D. F. Hodges.

The 1934 Dubuque City Directory through the 1957 Dubuque City Directory listed the corner of 7th and Jackson.

The 1962 and 1966 Dubuque City Directory listed 10 S. Main. In 1966 the company was listed as a division of FARLEY AND LOETSCHER MANUFACTURING COMPANY.
