ADAM JAEGER. According to the 1857-1858 through 1861 Dubuque City Directory, this business, boots and shoes, was located at the corner of 19th and Couler Avenue.
The 1868-69 Dubuque City Directory listed the east side of Couler Avenue between 19th and 20th.
In February, 1861, Adam Jaeger began the distillation of alcohol and the manufacture of whiskey on the BEE BRANCH. (1)
