CATFISH FESTIVAL. In 2011 the 20th annual Dubuque Catfish Festival was moved from June to Memorial Day weekend. The event, hosted by Donna GINTER, was named for the catfish dinner designed to help subsidize the free Thanksgiving dinner offered each year to people in need.
The event in 2011 was held at the A. Y. MCDONALD PARK at the end of Hawthorne Street.
